Male finished breeding, but won't eat.

Hi, I have a male Col. boa who's been courting/breeding non-stop since sept 3rd. I've stopped him twice (once a month) to feed him during this time, and then he'd go right at it again. He started a shed cycle about 15 days ago, and still courted until completely opaque. after shedding, he has refused a meal twice now, and shows no interest in breeding. He is quite thin, and rather limp.
The only reptile vet in my area recently quit, so I'm wondering if others have any similar sitations, and outcomes. Is this a case for Tylan?
Here's the hardest part of it all ---- I was one male short for this season, so I borrowed this one from a friend. He was thin when I received him, but bred real hard, and constant. I didn't want to call my friend on thanksgiving about this, so I'll be making a bitter call tomorrow. PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN ! ! !
Thanks, David

Typically he eats med/lg rats, but I'm currently offeringhalf sized meals to just get him going again. I'll be setting up a vet apt. tomorrow, although I've had poor sucess w/ them in the past.
From what I've read about Tylan/Tylosin, it sounds like a promising avenue.

he's given up on life. There are now some obvious signs of RI. I keep my temps at 80cool/90hot, and I check them 3 times daily. He's now totally separated from the others, in a cage that's turned up to 96 on the hot end, and that's where he has been resting. after 24 hours, he's been a bit more lively, and I'll try something small to feed him tomorrow.
