I acquired a pair of these from Rick Cunningham. They are a combination of Terry Cox's and Sacha Korell's bloodlines.

Terry, that's a nice bimac, but I believe those few of us that still are working with bimacs are tying to get more color into that species, which will increase their popularity. My main breeder recently has been this "blonde" phase which I've shown before...

The only other breeder I've seen with this phase is Rick Cunningham. I think he has it and I need to get in touch with him, because I only have the original female, plus her offspring from a light brown male pairing. This morph looks like a hypo, but the recessive gene is not present. Babies just are lighter when combined with her jeans. I'd be glad to save you one or two of these.
There are other color phases out there too, like the "silver" phase, which I would love to get ahold of. Then there's the albino morph that Glenn has, but I don't think he's been able to get it to breed, yet. I picked up a very nice light brown male from Rex Knight in 2003 and I'm raising it up to be a possible breeder. Between us, I hope we can gather all the best morphs, and start some really nice bimac lines. What d'ya say?

I'm not sure I want popular opinion on my side -- I've noticed those with the most opinions often have the fewest facts.
Ok, Keith. Shoot me an email. We need all the members we can get in our group. TC.
I thought you had a blue phase male too. Please save me an offspring or two if you can from your female. Sacha Korell had a pair of bimacs that he sold 2years ago I believe.
It was exciting for awhile last year with the news that Glenn's albino female might possibly be gravid. It would be great to see her drop a few hets. There's still a ways to go when some hets are finally produced.
I'm up for working with and trying to produce more phases and/or morphs of bimacs. That may be the boost they need for people to want them more. They are real hardy for a small snake. They have a lot of the characteristics people look for except for maybe they aren't out as much.
Thanks for the additional information on bimacs TC.

Terry, at the risk of boring you and others to death with all this bimac info, I'll give you some more updates.
It's true I had a bimac I called the "blue phase", but since then I found a couple others had this and called it the "silver phase". I'm now calling it the silver phase, but I don't have the snake anymore. It was a female that died from egg retention. I have more trouble with those w/c. I managed to hatch out two of her eggs, a male and a female, and they are two yrs. old now. I will try to get that phase back again someday. I haven't seen any for sale anywhere, so if you see any, let me know, ok?

I would love to get some hets, but I'm worried that female is getting pretty old now. Hopefully she'll produce at least one clutch. I'm hoping some other mutations will show up on the scene eventually too. I saw a hypo dione once and should have bought it, but the guy wanted $1000 for it and I think it ended up dying on him.

They are pretty secretive snakes. I think they are fossorial by nature. But they are also diurnal and active mostly by day. I get mine to come out by shining a heat lamp on one end of their tanks where they come to bask occasionally. They bask a lot in the spring when the sunshine lights up one end of their tank. That's when I get my best pics.
I'd really like to work with you on these. I think we could help each other out, and once I'm in AZ I'll probably be visiting you a lot. I do think they have a lot of great characteristics and plan on writing up the pros and cons for bimacs one of these days soon. One of my favorite snakes.

You're welcome, sir. Stay in touch on these guys and check out my new post up above.
PS: I'll save you one or two of the new blonde bimacs, but I only had 4.1, so I'm not sure I'll have a female for ya. I'll know more in the spring.
