zoomed iguana light vs. reptisun

herper1990 Nov 26, 2004 10:14 AM

I was just wondering what the difference is between the iguana light and the reptisun linear uvb bulbs made by zoomed? Which one would be better for a baby rhino in a 75 gallon breeder. Dont worry he will also have a powersun for his basking spot and a compact 10.0 uvb for the rest of his enclosure. Plus an outdoor sunning pen. Regarding my last post I have decided on a rhino.

With a PowerSun and a compact fluorescent I don't think an additional fluorescent is necessary. Even so, there is no difference in those two bulbs except the packaging and maybe the price. They are the same bulb.

The difference is marketing. Both lights put out the same amount of UVB. I believe ZooMed has discontinued the marketing of the 'Iguana Light' bulb and now simply markets the Reptisun 8.0 and the 3.0.
