I recently recived a leo that is VERY thin. He shows no desire to eat,I've tried mealworms, crickets, and lobster roaches. I have temps right,a hide, calcium dish, water, ect., everything I can think of.I will get him to a vet on monday (none open on the holiday)Is there anything else that might help get him to eat? Any advice would be helpful this little guy needs help.

Thanks

If you look, what 4, 5 lines down, you will see a post just like yours....

No vet open on the holidays, huh? That's ironic, because I managed to get a hold of four, yes FOUR, of them today.

That was a bit harsh. I'm just disgruntled about something unrelated.

What you can do for now is try hydrating the leo. Mix some multivitamin powder with water, and then offer a few drops to your leo. Not too many drops because you don't want to overwhelm him/her with too much liquid, but this is an excellent appetite stimulant.

Be sure to get him to a vet ASAP though. You can check herpvetconnection.com for a local vet. I called four vets today and managed to get a hold of all of them. They're all available tomorrow morning as well. And if I can find a vet that easily in the middle of nowhere (aka Kansas), then you should too.

thanks for the advice,I tried the headless bug idea from an earlier post but it didnt work.I'll give your method a shot.I am in bfe ( wyoming). There is 1 vet who will even look at herps and he splits his time between here and a town 200 miles north. Right now he is at his other practice until monday.

thanks again
