What uroplatus species could be raised without crix???

jack7777766 Jul 01, 2003 01:43 PM

I have 2 leo, a crestie a uro and 2 snakes. Im intersted in trying to breed a less known gecko. I saw the frog eyed gecko at Petco yesterday and the uroplatus sikorae thats on the classifieds and I love them both. I was wondering if either of these or any other uroplatus species has or could be kept on mealworms or anything else besides crickets and roaches, and if so could you list them.

Thanks
Jack

as far as i knowno uro have to be raised on crickets. all other prey items are either to slow or not good enough nutrition wise to be fed by itself. i was going to try the leachanus diet and see how it would work. but i havent been able to find it were i live. i will keep you posted though

I believe they do best on crickets. Mine enjoy hunting them. I just make sure my crickets are well-fed and dusted with calcium and vitamins.
