ive seen a lot of ads on here and other places about pastel RES and hypo pastel. ive been looking but havent found an answer so im going to post it on here. is this something that happens naturaly or do they do something to the eggs? i know they dont have good eye sight, grow slow, and a lot dont make it. is this all true?

Pastels, and Albanism (albino) are both genetic traits. I have heard on the snake forums of incubating temps effecting things like development rate, size, and gender, but in the case of the two above traits, I can't imagine it having an effect. I have heard that pastels and albinos tend to have more fragile health, and commonly have poor eyesight or increased light sensitivity. I also seem to remember discussions about shell issues, but I could be mistaken on that.
