I don't know how to build one, but I imagine that it wouldn't be too hard. Being my lazy self, I'd probably go out and buy one for my bearded dragon... I've seen some people who's beardies LOVED the lizard hammock!
So I'm thinking of getting one myself.

I just bought my girls a hammock, they seem to like it. Arti slept on it all night last night. I purchased it from the pet store for about $6, they also had they "ladders", but I have one of my basking branches close that they use to get up there. (Actually Dezzie jumped up on her own with no help!)

oOoo $6 isn't bad. How about the suction cups? Do they wear off after a while?
I have suction cups for my police radar detector and it's been a year and the suction cups dont stick to my windshield anymore
For a while, it worked when I'd dampen the suction cups, but even that doesn't work anymore

just buy a hammock there cheap and the lizards love them plus they can climb up ther on their own
go to herpharem.tripod.com and they have them for sale there they last a life time and u juss spray them plus they are only ten dollars or u can just make one
Any vinyl coated canvas would be fine for a hammock. Just need to put eyelets into the corners and buy suction cups for glass tanks or hooks or similar attachments for screen or wooden cages. As for ladders I would recommend a ramp instead. It's too easy for injuries with ladders.

JoAnn's Fabrics has a plastic coated mesh that makes great lizard hammocks and you can get a bunch using about 1/3 yard of it which costs about $3.00 or less. Then you use stick-on hooks from 3m (I got mine at Michael's up by the check out) and your good to go.
Last night I went to Joann's and I bought some mildew resistant canvas stuff, some eyelets and suction cups and I made a hammock last night. I hope I got the right canvas stuff, but it felt okay to me.
