pooping problems

one of my igs is doing somethng weird. she usally gos in her watter pan. but now she is hanging on the side of the cage and pooping outside of the cage! y is she doing this? its bad enough i have to step in puppy poo all day because my dog wont potty train, but now in steping in lizard poo! lol. what am i gonna do?

Well Brandi I'm not sure what to tell you about the lizard poo but as for your puppy you should crate him/her up while you are away because puppies won't go to the bathroom where they sleep. I thought this would be mean until I did it for my Jack Russel and boy it worked. I would come home and not worry about where the dog went to the bathroom or what he chewed up. I also did this when we went to bed. He house broke by the time he was 6 months old. Try it, it works. Good luck

yes i do crate him when we go out. but not when we are sleeping because he crys all night. he usally wont go at night he sleeps with me till i get up. then as soon as he gets up he gos before i can get him outside. sometimes ill put him out then he will come in and go. i just dont think he is getting the point. lol thanks for the advice.

Try taking him/her to the tub early in the morrowing. My babies will not go to the bathroom until they are in the tub. This might help u to keep from stepping in ig poop. LOL

IMO your ig found a way to poop outside his cage, which is better, in his mind. IMO igs don't like to hang out around their poop.
