I think annulata are great snakes, but I think they hold a backseat in the market to the larger milks. With the albinos becoming available in the near future, you'll see more in the classifieds I'm sure.
I like the calm disposition of adults. I also like their easily-housed size and low maintenance requirements.
I think the spotteds intriguing. Too bad they aren't simple recessive like amelanism. Producing spotteds is not an exact science - you cannot predict with any certainty just how extensive (or not) the spotting will be in the offspring.
If you like annulata, then that is the best reason to work with them.

Popularity with the annulata is a hit and miss sort of thing. With the annoucment of the first amelanistic annulata the popularity will with out a doubt will increase dramaticaly.
I have been working with the spotted annulata for some time now and can testify that there is NO true hets for the spotting aberrancy, but there is what I call marker animals. They typically have any where from one spot to having no spots but a solid belly where the bands don't completly encircle the body, sometimes leaving striping down the sides latteraly. Be cautious when buying "hets" Make sure that they have at least one pf the marker traits that i'm talking about.
I hpoe this helps, Wayne Sanders
Thanks for the replies.
Im getting two pairs on thursday, 3 hets and a visual spotted.
I also have a het female already.
So the spotteds are just pure luck? Have you managed to produce any? What were the adults if so (hets or spotteds)?
How long have you been doing the project?
Thanks
Gary
