Light and Heating(Help)

turtlesong Nov 27, 2004 06:22 AM

I want to ask if sunlight is necessary for bullfrogs or if you can just use a regular light like those used on fish tanks? I'm afraid my bullfrogs aren't getting enough light too, because I haven't been able to find them a decent light yet. What kind is best?

I put them by the window but there's little sunlight this time of year. Will this cause a vitamin deficiency? I also don't have a heater yet, although the temps are still in the 60's/70's. But how should I best care for my frogs, particularly considering heat and lights? Are heater helpful for them or not?

I don't know a thing about bullfrogs, I'm afraid, so I can't help with your question. But I'm wondering if you are also posting in the general frogs forum. You might get more folks who know about bullfrogs there since bullfrogs aren't aquatic frogs.
