Asian Vine Snake and Thawed Lizards

FloridaHerper Jul 01, 2003 02:36 PM

Has anyone had any success feeding thawed lizards to Vine snakes (A. Prasina)? Mine eats live lizards with no problem, but I'm trying to be prepared for winter. I've tried switching it to rodents with no success at all. If thawed lizards are taken, I'll be in good shape. I posted in the rear-fanged forum, but I thought I would post here as well.

Thanks,
FH

i had never tried but im assuming with a little dangling on some hemos they should take them with no problem...

i felt that with them it wasnt the smell of the prey...but the movement that got their attention...

best of luck...
