I've worked with snakes since I was in 5th grade.... I'm 44 years old now. I purchased a normal Western Hoggie about a year ago. I purchased him when he was 1/2 year old at the Havre De Grace Maryland show.
I try to feed him 1 fuzzy per week. Sometimes I have to scent the mice with the T-Rex Lizard scent (which works great). Sometimes he goes off eating, like now (tis the season to go off eating... since it has cooled down in Delaware). But he has grown a bit since I first purchased him. All my previous snakes shed once in 4-6weeks. This guy has not shed yet. After all my years in working with snakes, I have not seen this kind of thing before.

Any thoughts/explanations/experience from anyone????

I have a wild caught that I've been taking care of for about 6 months and he hasn't shed either. I feed him green anoles and spadefoot toads pretty regularly and he's not off feeding right now. Just not growing I guess.

I've had my girl for a year and I think she's shed twice--I read a long time ago that they just don't seem to shed as often as other snakes. Mine has been very agitated lately with no apparent cause and I wonder if she's going to shed again but I doubt it. As long as the snake seems healthy I probably wouldn't worry too much.
