Just got back from the vet's.

Updates.

Six weeks ago:
Tobias and Novia weighed only 18 grams.
50/50 chance.
Novia was the better of the two.

Today:
Tobias weighs 38 grams, Novia weighs 28.
Tobias has a very good chance of a full recovery.
Novia was put to sleep.

She was having seizures, her jaw was loose, turns out she had some neurologic problems. She stopped eating four days ago, kept vommitting. After a long discussion, her suffering was humanely ended.

If any of you suddenly get a clutch of eggs... one of them is Novia, reincarnated... But healthy...

R.I.P. Novia

Thanks guys. I appreciate the sympathy/empathy.

And in reply to your post, Vonnie... Tobias and I have been hanging out all day. I redid his tank. I measured how far from the UV he is. (Never more than 7 inches- closest is 3 inches) He seems to be really stressed though, and it's understandble.

But yeah, I hope Novia is in lizard heaven. She's burried outside my computer room window, so she's always going to be close to me. (Since I'm always on the computer, hehe)

But you did everything you could, and showed very admirable dedication. Tobias will grow big and strong now.

But I am glad Tobias is doing better. Some are just survivers.

So sorry for your loss.

I know how you feel. My littlest anole has been missing for almost two weeks. I kept hoping he was hiding, but I found him this morning all dried up in the cabinet under the tank. He had gotten out, and I didn't find him in time.

I know how much it hurts to lose even the tiniest lizard. Several years ago, before I added info to my love of herps, I kept (unsuccesfully) a succesion of racerunners and fence lizards.

PS. I noticed your anoles are named Anubis, Baal, and Hathor. Stargate SG1 fan?
