Here are a couple of pictures of Buddy that I took yesterday. He is starting to look fuller in the stomach area. Hopefully the tail will get there soon. Don't mind the face looking dull, he is starting to shed. ENJOY.

Just curious-

Have you ever witnessed how fast a uromastyx can run?

If not, ask one of the countless number of people who have lost a uromastyx outdoors because it was supervised rather than secured.

Oh yes! He can run very fast. I walk right next to him when he is out and when he bolts I bolt. There is really not much he can go under or behind on my street. The neighbors keep a very clean well groomed lawns. I am ALWAYS on guard when he is out. Thank you for your concerns thou because some people won't know this.

is that a white scar on his side? if so helga has one in the exact same spot! i always wondered what happened to her. maybe a territory war?
anyway he is getting a nice tummy on him. pretty soon all that fat will be spilling over into that tail. it's a good thing helga is asleep, she might try to attack the screen to get to him,

I think it is a scare but not sure. When he gained some weight I started seeing it and also down his spine it is kind of white. He is also starting to shed but it is only on the face right now. Maybe Helga and Buddy (lets call him Big Boy to be manly) should get together since they come from a hard life from before we got them. Ha Ha

helga has several white spots on her. one on her left shoulder, left front arm and then the one on her right side is the biggest, like an inch or so long and it is still peeling like it is healing. it was very strange though because they were completely covered by all those old layers of skin so i never knew she had them until she peeled
