I know it sounds extremly stupid but bare with me here...

I was watching this famous and serious news program called Arena in Turkey today (I am staying in Turkey for a while)and something caught my attention.

They were gonna go and see an old guy who claims that he can prevent somebody from getting bitten by a snake by praying on him!

Normally I don't watch stupid stuff like this but the program was a serious one and I am a snake keeper so I watched the whole thing.

What happened is they caught a venomless snake and the guy prayed to the anchorman of the show and then he pissed the snake off. But the snake didn't bite. He played with it for like 10 mins and nothing happened. And they gave the snake to somebody else and the animal did bite as soon as he touched it.

And after that they got a scorpion and the anchorman played with it, touched its needle but the scorpion did not harm the guy!

I know it sounds extremly silly and unreal to you guys but I saw this happened.

More strangly I called a couple religious friends of mine and they told me that they were aware of this procedure and they claimed that there are couple people in Turkey who can do this. The procedure is called 'efsun' which means spell/magic in Arabic.

I still don't really believe what had happened but I am planning to test this myself before coming back to USA if I can locate the guys who does this...

I found it pretty intresting and just wanted to share..

Before you take the time & trouble to look this guy up & get him to fix you up...how long does the "safety" last?

If you do get it done, don't start handling hots as if nothing could happen to you. Use the prayer as a safety net in case a blunder occurs.

There is a similar practice in south africa that can protect you from anything between snakebites to bullets. A recent story was interesting. Shortly after going to a Sangoma (medicine man, traditional healer), 4 bank robbers entered a bank with a spell protecting the making them unstopable. They were stopped on the way out by the cops with semi-automatics. Simple, Bullets=hole, snake bite=911

I believe I'd rather put my faith into safety & common sense. I don't mean to knock you, it's an interesting post. But it really is NOT worth taking the risks. I've had nonvenomous snakes that would bite everybody but me. But that doesn't necessarily mean that I'm totally safe from receiving a bite. I'm all for prayer. But I'd pray for enough intelligence & common sense to keep me safe.
Doing the spell is like telling you to drink water from a glass. It's got poison in it. Maybe the spell will work & you won't die. Would you drink it?
