momtowildones Nov 27, 2004 08:24 PM

Does anyone feed their cresteds silkworms? I feed them CGD, baby food and crickets as treats. I just got some silkworms for my leos and was wondering if I coulc gve them to the cresteds as a treat? Thanks for the input.

Mine don't like them, but try, it couldn't really hurt anything.

I breed silkworms for my other herps and have been trying to introduce them to my crested's. They are better than crickets!

My only problem is that they dont seem to move enough to stimulate them.

Just because you are feeding the "crested prefab food", dont consider fruit and "crikets as treats". This is part of thier diet.

I used to feed my crested geckos small silkworms all the time. He ate them quite readily. At first it took a moment for him to realize it was food but not long. Just hold the silkworm by one end and they will wiggle nicely.
