Dry season in the wild

mike3 Jul 01, 2003 03:16 PM

Hi i read somewhere that uros have a dry season. The only thing available are seeds and cammel poo. How long is this dry season without any water? I was wondering if i should mimic natural seasons so they cycle normally. I would mimic it by giving them only dry foods for a certain amount of time. How long is that certain amount of time? Should i mimic nature or not?

PS
my red geryi (Flame) all of a sudden got amazing red color, pluse she is not afraid to bask with me in the same room anymore.

You know, I'm not sure if they have dry seasons over there.I think it would be more like wet season if anything because I don't think they get too much water. I was just thinking about that yesterday too. All those people debating that uros should strictly be on a staple diet with no meat in it.. because they don't eat meat in the wild.. but some people say they do. If there is a dry season... wouldn't they eat bugs if they couldn't find anything?
