Too cold to hunt?

gentlemantw0 Nov 27, 2004 10:06 PM

I was wondering what you(plural)thought about it being to cold to find kings. I live in central fl and have only been successful finding scarlets but I would love to find any of the other natives. If anyone knows any good places with a high likelyhood of results this time of year I would be happy to trade a few of my places for southern hognose and other snakes. Send me a direct email if you please- gentlemantw0@yahoo.com Thanks in advance.-Cole

I've had my best snake-hunting ventures in FL while it was "cold". Trash-flipping is generally a lot more productive in cold weather. You don't see as many snakes out in the open, though...

Had a good hunt today, no kings but it was productive. I'll have pics up tomorrow in the field notes and observations forums if anyone is interested.
