"...before becoming a Leopard Tortoise (or similar breed) owner."

Anybody have anything to share? I'll become the proud owner of a leopard tort soon, and just wanna find out what kind of headaches or issues I can expect to deal with at some point. Don't want any "bad surprises" if I can avoid them.

Thanks!

I have 5 leopards along with redfoots, cherryhead, sulcata, Indian star and desert torts and in my opinion my leopards & sulcata are the easiest to take care of. They are not picky eaters, I grow different grasses, clovers, dandelion, mallow, plantain, opuntia, etc. and they would eat pretty much what I put in front of them. In the winter months I grow this stuff in planters indoor. I house the adults on timothy hay indoor during the really cold months, other times they are outside with a heated dog house.

...of introducing multiple speciments at the same time (tortoisetrust.org on how to loose an entire leopard colony)... don't meant to put you off, just a worst case scienario for you to judge...
