Palex134 Nov 28, 2004 06:02 AM

I was woundering do Crested geckos drop their tails more easily than other geckos? In many of the pictures i've seen they are tail less. How long does it take to regenerate a new one? Do crested geckos drop their tails often? Sorry for the beginer questions

When cresteds drop thier tails thats it.They dont regenerate.

In the wild (As stated in any of the stidies) Adults are rarely found with tails. There is a theory that it might be benificial to them to drop thier tails once they reach adulthood , In captivity they keep thier tails unless a acident or stress occurs (usually)
