Hi,
This morning, I went to get a male Mueller's Saharan Sand Boa from his enclosure, for feeding time. I found him flailing around, biting at everything - thin air, substrate, the side of the enclosure. I took him out of the enclosure and removed any visible subsrate (aspen) from his mouth. I was able to probe and I didn't see any stuck substrate. His mouth looked fine. He was extending his epiglottis every once in a while when his mouth was open. This has been going on for about 30 minutes, but I found him like that, so I don't know how long it's been going on for real. His two (female) mates, that share the enclosure, are fine.
I'm trying to get in touch with the vet, but it's Sunday morning ... Has anyone seen this before? Any advice? Please help!
Thanks!
