sexing dums

is there any way of telling the sex with out probing(i don't know how) my husband went out and got a male and a female and i would like to make sure that they are that sex. my husband wants to try to breed in a couple of years the one that they say is the male is 1 year old and is 488grams and well the other one i don't know yet i do know that that one is 2 years old and well i'm not doing to much because right know it is starting to shed

Dumerils are pretty easy to sex, the males have spurs while the females do not. Sometimes on very young dumerils it can be a little hard to see the spurs, but if its a male they will be there. If you are sexing a one year old and two year old, you should not have any problem seeing the spurs, or lack of spurs. Let me know if you have any questions.
