Ghost shed

BARSaintPete Nov 28, 2004 07:39 PM

Can anyone post a pic of a shed from a ghost/hypo. We have an odd looking normal ball that's shed is very unusual and just want a comparison. I'm sure it's nothing but he's definitely different. Last season all his babies were blackbacks...unfortunately all male so we can't breed them back to see if it's anything.

Ghost's shed clear........so if theres any remnants of your snakes pattern on its shed its likely not a ghost.........

Here's a pic of the shed next to a normal. I don't really think he's a ghost he's just got something different going on that doesn't ever photograph. Just wanted to see an actual ghost shed for comparison.

A very clean-patterned, light-colored normal, but you never know until you breed 'em.

They say 'clear' because it is clear of pattern or colorations. I remember when Sunset went into shed for the first time I was so excited to see him. Where normal balls go into 'blue', ghosts 'blue' is actually white. Just like casper the friendly ghost, where en as I think they originally got there name 'Ghost' from. If your ball turns white when he's in shed, then most likely he is some sort of ghost. I hear green ghosts look fairly normal and shed clear. I've never seen a good photograph of one though, so I can't tell you from personal experience.

Good luck with your boy though.

Here's a pic of a section of a normals' shed (at left) next to a section of a ghosts' shed (at right).

Hope it helps.
