Pieds....confused...help....

What is the real name of them?

Is it piebald? or piedbald?

If it is piebald where does the "d" in pied come from?

piebald. adj.
Spotted or patched, especially in black and white: a piebald horse.

pied adj.
Patchy in color; splotched or piebald.

It's Piebald. Pied is just short for the proper name.
