flavirufa

They are a really unique species. If you have considered getting one or more but have not yet, you wont be sorry. They are very sight oriented and semi arboreal in build. They also have the coolest eyes. This is a male. Randy W.

Beautiful Randy! This is another species that I have become interested in lately as well. I was just at the Palm Beach zoo this past weekend and they have a fairly new exhibit called Tropics of the Americas. They have a small flavirufa on display there and it was very active, and you're right about those eyes! I watched it until my daughter and wife dragged me off! Thanks for sharing your collection with us and keep the pics coming!! Billy

How is the hurricane damage at Dreher Park? I heard they got hit hard!

I agree, cool snake. I had a pair once and traded them off to reduce my collection. Once I'm set up in AZ I'll get back into the flavirufa again. They have a neat pattern and don't get terribly large. Are yours very active, Randy?

Mine are rather active. They were only active at night when young but as adults they are active often during daylight too. They have become fairly aggressive feeders as adults also, sometimes coming up to where I place mice into their cages as I open them to feed. Randy W.
