Is this strange??

seductivereptile Nov 28, 2004 11:31 PM

I had my corn snake out today for about an hour and a half. She seemed to be really cool about it, she would even stay perfectly still for 15-20 minutes at a time, weaving herself in and out of my fingers and resting her head on my wrist. Is that strange?? I would love to have another one just like her. LOL She is so cool!!

I've got a snow corn too! Her name is Aurora, and she does just the same thing as yours. Cool, calm, and collected at all times. Loves to just relax and squirm here and there in between my fingers, on my hands, etc. Just watch out! The little sneaks will wait til you're nice and calm and not paying attention, then... hey, let's wrap up in her hair really good! It hasn't been brushed yet today, OOO this is fun! What's this? A crevice in the seat cushion? That looks fun too!!! Corns are awesome, awesome awesome awesome! But with anything, it depends on the snake. Once in a while you may meet a mean or flighty one, but in my experience they're all beautifully tempered. (Used to work at a pet store... it was a joy to work with the corns!)

By the way, that's a BEAUTIFUL snow corn you have

my black ratsnakes do that...curl up together on my wrist and just sit there with each other. Some do...some don't. Every snake has a different temperment...but I really think getting a first snake like that really helps your disposition towards snakes in general...even if your future ones aren't as calm as that you're more wiling to work because you know they can be that calm.
