How do you keep your pets? here's mine...

Antegy Nov 29, 2004 07:37 AM

Hi everyone,

I was just wondering what other people's pet rooms look like, and what kind of setups people are using. So, if you would, please share some pics of your place and how you keep your pets.

Here's my 'reptile room'.

Notice the white PVC pipe running along the wall above and behind the cages - that's for the active ventilation. I have three Vision cages, and one Cages by Design cage; each of which has it's pro's and con's. The hex tank off to the side is for a small semi-arboreal snake. The tripod in front of the cages is holding my webcam. You can't see it (because I was standing in it to take the photo) but there's also a 'sandbox' in there for them to climb/play in.

Here's a detail of the cages:

Thanks for looking, and please share!

That is a dream setup, thanks to my wife, mine are banned to the furthest corner of the basement. Question, what temp do you keep the room at and/or are you running tank heaters also?

I keep the room at about 75 Fahrenheit, and ~60-65% RH, with the ventilation turning over the air in the room about once per hour. There are also heat mats in each of the cages, and with misting the RH in the cages is generally around 70-80%.

The setup practically takes care of itself (aside from refilling the humidifier and routine cleaning of the cages).

No, I don't have the light fixture for it - so I keep it closest to the windows in the room so it can get natural daylight (indirect).
