I picked up my first Eastern ( first King of any kind ) from Split Rock Reptiles at the Chicago show this fall. I love the little bugger even if he does rattle and thrash around everytime I pick him up. My question/comment is... I didn't see anything as beautiful as that last picture you posted, the one with the burnt orange coloring. Whats the story with that one? Will it retain that color as it matures?
Yeah she is a little beauty but the orange will fade as it does with most getula with orange as hatchlings. Will Still breeds some Georgia locale Easterns from Kevin Enge's line and some of them retain lots of orange into adulthood. Here is a pic of my male from Will. He is 42" in this pic and still has orange all over. He had much more orange as a baby as the photo below shows.

... are you hibernating your stuff this year? I just put mine "down" last Thurday.
Everything (including my babies) was at 58 degrees as of this morning.
How about you? Are you lucky enough to have a wife who will let you have more than one room?
- Peter
LOL more than one room ... I wish but the room I do have has decent size to it. Ive put a few things down like a couple of adult female Easterns and the male MD I got from you. I'll be putting the big NJ male down in a couple of weeks. My basement floor is a 56 degree's so thats about perfect.
