hibernating pacman

laws-yes Nov 29, 2004 11:04 AM

How do I tell if hes alive when hes hibernating? He buried himself about 2 or 3 weeks ago and I looked at his skin and noticed it didn't have a film on it like they usually develop but he hasn't been coming out and he ocassionally croaks. Its a male and hes about 3 inches long and 3 inches wide.Temps in cage in summer were 88 they are now 84. O also right before he buried himself he went to the bathroom so I figured he must be hibernating but now I have my doubts.

thanks

it's about time. My dwarf pyxie is down for the winter, I think. I say, keep offering them food on the regular schedule unti they are clearly brumating, then don't worry about it again until they wake up.
