Just shed Blue beauty

aokage100 Nov 29, 2004 01:33 PM

My blue beauty also just shed so I wanted to post an update picture of her. Sorry for the quality, I am still trying to learn how to take clear close up shots. Any tips? Their color is so beautiful right after they shed. After measuring her skin, she is now 4'3"!

Here's another shot of her. Unfortunately, this one's also blurry.

very beautiful snake, blurry or not lol.

does your camera have a macro setting? I would try that...and if it has a zoom, zoom out as much as possible. If you have a camera that you can add lenses onto, you can buy a macro lens if your camera doesnt have it built in.

this program is pretty cool, and it will help you measure your snakes a lot easier. AND it's free!!!!

That s a really pretty Blue. BTW, the shed skin will be significantly longer than the actual snake. i tried to check it out once and it seemd like the skin was about 15-20% longer than the animal.

Thanks for the photography tips! I have tried to use the micro option and it's still blurry, maybe my hands are just not sturdy enough. I will keep practicing. Thanks for the site, I will definitely try to use it. I did not know that snake skin is generally that much longer than the actual snake, thanks for letting me know!
