A purple phase is a dark lavender. Some purple phase (but not all) have white heads like this 4 year old female. This girl is unbelievable to see in person!

This is a '00 purple phase produced by Bob Clark.

Be careful using the description "dark lavender" to describe a purple. More and more, breeders are starting to split up their lavs into plain lavenders and dark lavenders, and keeping whites and purples seperate. I have a female dark lavender from Mike Wilbanks, and she is certainly not purple, but also not your typical lavender either. Whenever I'm lucky enough to produce albino retics, I'll also go by the two different lavender distinctions if there is a noticeable difference.
