I was the the local petco sunday morning doing some xmas shopping and found this guy. I couldnt believe his colors so i snatched him!
$55.99 to boot! I was impressed with the cleanliness and condition of their animals too. Its nice to find a store that atleast keeps clean cages.

Yeah that was an accident for sure. Probablly looked buckskin as a juvie. Consider yourself lucky, very lucky. Cresteds of that qaulity are not common in pet chains.

I have posted on here before and was trying to tell everyone that about PETCO. I currently work at one in Amherst and we get Crested Geckos in like that all the time. I currently have one like that right now that I got from PETCO and they are not rare in our shipments. We get all of our Geckos from the Gourmet Rodent, and all Crested Geckos are $55.99 at Petco. I would also like to add that the Red Gecko above is nothing compared to some that I have seen in our shipments.

I was the Vet Tech that went to a Petco in New Tampa, Fl. and just checked on their animals and they used to get some pretty incredible leopards. The Petco i got this cresty from is in Oldbridge NJ if anyone else from the boards is in my area.

I got my crested from the Petco in New Tampa! She looked like a buckskin when I bought her, but now she's a beautiful red like the pic posted previously on this thread.
I'm VERY disappointed in the Petco in New Tampa now, though. I don't know why, but they took almost all the foilage out of the cresteds' tank. They have one fake plant and a piece of wood in the tank which offers very little places to hide for all of the cresteds they keep in that tank. Now the cresteds that cannot find a place to hide in the plant or wood during the day are on the glass in the back of the tank.
...Not to mention the condition of leopard geckos are poor too. Just about every leo has retained shed and are missing tails. I got the 1-800 number that they provide in the reptile section of the store and am seriously considering reporting them. I've also considered getting a job there so maybe I can make a difference.

I forgot to add that I got my crested that looks EXACTLY like the one posted previously for $45 marked down from $60 the night before Hurricane Jeanne was expected to hit Tampa. Thus, I named her Jeanne.

u or i go in there we know what we r looking for, where and how to find it, how to sex it, how to take it home and keep it.

but with all that foilage the guy that brought his daughter in there to grab a quick bag of dog food walks right buy it and sees a tank with plants and nothing else.

now u remove the plants and increase stress on the animals, same guy goes in with his daughter, daughter sees it as they pass by falls in love throws a fit "daddy daddy i want that its so cute!" father buys one because its cheap, its small and if it gets loose mommy might move out LoL

You're probably right, Dave! lol! It still ticks me off, but I guess people are willing to do whatever it takes to make a buck. It's really sad.

for $55.99. It is a very nice harliquin, but i didnt like how they were kept, but they had fairly decent ones. I got mine in NJ too! Toms River Petco.

Ah! Im in Keyport. The only reason i go to petco usually is to pick up supplies. Believe it or not, they are alot cheaper than most of the other filthy stores in my area.
