Hemp Bedding Safe?

SnakesRCharming Nov 30, 2004 10:40 AM

Hey everyone!
Have any of you heard of a bedding called hemp bedding? It looks just like shredded aspen and claims to be less dusty than other types of substrate and with little to no aromatic oils. It is pretty expensive ($8.99 US for a small bag) but I was wondering if any of you have tried it or heard negative things about it.
Thanks!

I would pass on it.I think there just targeting the stoner crowd with that stuff.Hemp grows wild everyplace here in central Illinios.Ive seen all kinds of hemp goods and there all overpriced hippy crap.LOL..Just an opinion...Paul.

Now now, people. You've gotta understand that hemp won't do anything if you smoke it. It can't get you high; only marijuan can. It's a subspecies of the same plant as marijuana, but doesn't contain enough THC (the psycho-active ingredient) to cause any effect.

I would be optimistic that hemp bedding may be a good substrate. Hemp can be used effectively in a variety of forms, such as: paper, textiles, building materials, food, medicine, paint, detergent, varnish, oil, ink, and fuel.

It's really pretty amazing.

I belong to norml.Hemp can be used for all kinds of things. It just seems costly to buy anything made from hemp. And your correct it wont make you raid the fridge if you try and burn it.
