bmills Jul 01, 2003 05:40 PM

My albino leo is getting much better today, she was just really stressed after the medication and having to force feed it, she is not sleeping, and doesn't freak when I move or make noises, I am going to try to see if she will come to my hand tonight like she used to...thanks for everybodies help, I really appreciate it.

Glad to hear shes less stressed, but I really think you should just leave her alone for a bit, she sounded really stressed before. Dont mean to be rude, but its probably best for now to just let her be for a bit in my opinion. Good luck with her, later

yea, I totally agree...that is what I decided, I went to get out the other leo with her, and she started to freak out a little because I was sticking my hand in and moving things around, so I am just going to leave the whole tank be for a couple days and hope she gets better. She bites in mid air a lot, or she was, when she was freaking, it's kind of scary looking...I'm really worried, but have been told it is just stress, so hopefully she will calm down. I have to give her the medication again in another week, so hopefully she will be better by then...and then hopefully she won't be as stressed. How long do you think I should let her go without touching her and trying to pick her up?

To be honest, I dont think you should handle her at until you dont have to give anymore medicine to her, theres already alot of stress put on her, and for now, when shes taken out she thinks its medicine time which causes more stress. Stress can be fatal in reptiles, just remember that. How is the other one doing? Is it acting the same way? If possible, I recomend you seperate them, as this will also decrease some stress put on her. It doesnt need to be fancy, but seperate the one that had the sickness to begin with if you can. Just use a decent sized plastic bin or something with paper towel substrate, water bowl, ect. Good luck,

The other one is doing fine, I had her out last night, she comes out to see what I'm doign when I come in the room, and will come to my hand when I put it in the tank like she did before. She is doing great, she just mainly sleeps all day long, and then will come out and eat for a little bit and then go relax again. The 2 leos are on different sides of the tank, they each like different hides, so the normal isn't always near and touching my albino. I will just leave her be until I am done with the other medication. Thanks for your help.
