OMG! Breeding Season STILL!

ForestTime Nov 30, 2004 12:46 PM

I thought we were out of the breeding season thing with Forest. He had been grouchy last month but had gone back to his normal self for the most part although he is still bright orange so I was a SMART ig Mommy & had been keeping my eye on him just in case....GOOD THING!

Brat chased me down the sidewalk today (had him out while we hung Christmas lights)...my boyfriend Mike laughing the entire time UNTIL we got him inside & it was Mike's turn...

Here he is stalking Mike's feet......

Missed me, got couch instead...

ForestTime Nov 30, 2004 12:52 PM

Finally succeeded in getting me off my spot on the couch! Mind you, I had to move fast, dropped camera, laughing my a$$ off, got the pic.........

MAN! What a day with the grouch!

Geesh....I was rolling.....

I think we have decided to go on a LONGGGGGGGGGG, extendedddddddd, uncommunicatable (is that a word???) vacation...

Basically, we're running away from home until he calms the heck down. Wait! This is OUR home....anyone wanna adopt a bright orange, very grouchy, territorial, 5 foot scaly monster for a couple weeks????

Any replies will be forwarded to Forest's mailbox....

Dang grouch......LOL

The sweet adorable ham...MOST of the time...

It's a good darn thing we have all tile & terrazzo floors! If we had any kind of carpet that Forest could get a good running start on, we'd be screwed.

Thank goodness we have slippery (to a fat ig) tile & terrazzo! He made it UP the couch to get me after the short blast across the rug in the living room! That's when I dropped the camera while trying to snap his picture!!!

Woohooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Score one for the ig!

Your pics and story gives me a good laugh, but it also scare me, lol. I have a 30 inch igg that havent show any sign of getting orange or in his character but i check him closely
Last night he climb on my shoulder , what a surprise ! (he prefer by far my wife). But once installed he look very closely at my face...can i say that i check him closely too.

Why do you let him out when he's like that, cant you just keep him in his enclosure ?

its ok to let them out when they are like this as long as you can handel it, infact it is good for them to let off steam. i notice after chasing me around a bit trying to bite my face off my big boy tends to be in a better mood. lol, for a little while anyway.

Forest is a free-roamer. Has been his entire life (he's almost 8 yrs old).

We adopted him last Valentine's Day & he has NEVER been in a cage.

He has a bed in the house with his UVB, heating pad, CHE, ramp (like he needs it), wicker basket, etc...

He goes outside every day to bask for at least 2 hours (up to 5-6 hours if he behaves himself........

After 8 years of free roaming, would never think of putting him in a cage. He's a good boy. MOST of the time! LOL

What a cute picture! I guess we are lucky to have a female! That is until she becomes GRAVID!

I love that picture!

We try to keep Iggi happy, as well as healthy. That was an angel bear we had just bought her. Here is another, more recent picture of Iggi. This is from last Halloween, when we dressed her up as a dragon princess.
