The Angels Camp Post Office is once again dressing up it's envelopes for the holiday season with a special cancellation stamp.
American communities with names tied to holiday themes are asked each year to create a special stamp for canceling Christmas mail.
This year's Angels Camp design, a Santa Frog toting his bag of toys, was created by Enterprise cartoonist Robert Norman of West Point.
The frog's bag wishes everyone a "Merry Christmas from Frogtown Station."
The special cancellation will be available Wednesday and run through Christmas Eve, Angels Camp Postmaster Laney Huffman said.
Special boxes will be placed at the Angels and Altaville offices for envelopes requiring the special stamp and volunteers from the Stamp Club of Calaveras County will make sure they get out the same day.
"They help us cancel the stamps because we get so many," Huffman said.
Holiday cancellations are very popular and the Angels Camp stamps attract envelopes from across the country.
"Last year we even got a couple from Europe," Huffman said.
