Amazon Horned

well i was looking at some pics and saw a amazon horned..

I was wondering if anyone knew much about these types and knew where to obtain one and how well they did in captivity.

If you know a breeder ill jump on it cause i think they look sweet. Maybe try to get it to breed with another type hehe.

The scientific name of the Amazonian Horned Frogs is Ceratophrys Cornuta. From what I have heard they are harder to keep in capitivity and have higher humidity requirements. As if they are readily avalible, I belive that most are unfortunately imported from South America, though I don't think it would be that hard to find one that is capitive bred.
And indeed, that picture by Bartlett is a nice one.

There's also a breeder or two advertising captive bred ones on the amphibians sections of the kingsnake classifieds.
