Do you have a male pastel to go with the female pastel? If not, that would be what I would get, to try for supers. JMHO.

The only problem with buying a het male and putting it with your pastel female is that you'll only get 50% poss. hets and pastel 50% poss. hets. Cool for your own collection, but not being a "name" in the industry, selling hets is hard enough, let alone 50% poss. hets. As the guarantee on poss. hets is basically found in a breeders reputation, I would spend the money on something that is going to give me VISUALS of whatever I'm shooting for, or at minimum 100% hets. Like the previous response, at that price I'd probably do a pastel male, go for supers, plus produce more pastels by putting him with normals as well. Sometimes though, it's about your own collection entirely, not what you can recoupe. SO...if you want to have a chance at producing a certain trait, figure out what you need to do that on what you can afford, and have fun with it. Best of luck to you whatever you decide. Take care

I know this sounds boring, but if I had an extra $1000.00 just lying around I would buy more books, more enclosures(up grade the ones i have), and buy a six-pack.
