het pied marker? my pretty normal

mistysprouse Nov 30, 2004 08:32 PM

this is garbage gut. I finally got a picture that captures his color. He is 1 1/2 years old and his yellow is getting better and better. Red (gothpython) came over to my place and pointed out his belly and said it looked like it could be a het pied unproven marker which I never noticed. Just wondered what everyone thinks?

It could be. The only way to truly know is to breed it. I have a poss het pied male that looks a lot like yours. I have bred it the last two season and about 50% of the babies have looked just like dad.

It still hasnt proved that he is in fact a het. There are MANY normals that show the same traits. But you cant ever say they are 100% hets unless the sire or the dam is a pied or they prove out.

Hope this helps

Raul

ya I will try to see what is going on with him, but it won't be for a few years all of my girls are for my albino for awhile. But once I get my female albino hets up to breeding weight then the normal girls are all his.
