hey, this is my first post in this forum, i have 2 lizards and i am intrested in getting a snake. this would be my first snake and i am intrested in getting either a kingsnake or a milksnake. i have researched a couple of milksnake and was wondering if anyone could recommend a milksnake that is good for a beginner, does not get to big (smaller then 3 ft) and does not mind being handled. thanks for any help.

i really like the look of milksnakes and would love to get into snakes.

If I were you I would try a prarie king they are fairly small and a very good captives, most milksnakes are usually pretty jumpy and they musk alot but its really up to you. If you want a milk get one, you will get much more enjoyment out of something that you really want. Just make sure you get as much info as possible about whatever snake you choose to get, and keep the cage as clean as you can. Keep records of when the snake eats sheds and defecates.
