A big hello to all my Blood Buddies!! pics!! and a reallly long post!

drummagirl Dec 01, 2004 12:38 AM

Man, feels like its been forever since I've posted anything of substanence on this forum! Life has been nuts!!
Sooo...whats been going on with the animals.....
This gal nailed me right on the freakin face a couple weeks back. I thought something on her had looked funny, so I was trying to get a better look. Funny thing is, right before she nailed me I was thinking "This is not a good idea" Didn't hurt, but trying to get a flailing blood settled while you've got blood running down your face and in your eye is pretty interesting
The proud girl. lol

Craziest thing....I was giving this girl a soak, as she didn't have a very good shed. I started rubbing her chin and umm...wtf? She would just sit there with her head in the air. Crazy thing is, after I quit, she would sit there in that position for a good five minutes. No attempts to strike or anything....and this gal is most defintely NOT an animal that I would go around petting on the head. See previous paragraph

Big Red is doing great. We decided to give the ol' bath a try tonight. I've never soaked him before so I was a bit curious how it would go over. No fuss, but a definite 'this is sooo not cool' look from him!

Delilah is growing like a weed and sweet as ever....

Decided to name this one Rockstar He's doing wonderful

Here's an oddball blood I picked up. I was a bit unsure about this one, as he/she was labeled as a borneo, and priced pretty darn low for the markings he/she has. Sure enough, it arrived really cold, and is by far the smallest blood I've ever had. I was honestly a bit ticked about how small this dude is. Don't even know if its fed before...pretty sure it hasn't shed yet either, just by its size. Fed for me though, so i'm keepin my fingers crossed. Seems to be doing ok. Sorry for the crappy photos, but all I could get in a moment...

Hope everything is going smoothly for all of you. To those of you attending classes....good luck on the upcoming finals!! I'd like to say I'll be posting more, but i don't know....with classes, clubs, and me just starting my second job I just don't know...oh well, guess thats just how it goes!

A big hug to all my blood buddies!!

Carole

Well a big hello back to you, big red looks great, and I hope you get that little one with the neat pattern to eat for ya, does look a bit skinny so I can see why you would think it hasn't been fed, the little borneo from us sure looks good though, its always a good thing to see when you see your animals going to good homes. I hope he turns out very nice for you as he grows as well. Luckily I havn't ever been tagged in the face by anything yet, and its not something I would want to happen either. Well great pics and beautiful snakes.

Hey Amelia!

Thanks for the kind words! The little runt took a mouse fuzzy for me without any hesitation, so I'm thinking he'll be ok. I was actually a bit more concerned about him coming down with an RI, as I couldn't believe how freakin cold he was when I unpacked him. He honestly felt like an icecube....and moved about as well as one. Yep, so cold he didn't really have any motor coordination. BUT, he seems to be doing ok now

Oh trust me, I plan on keeping you VERY updated on Rockstar...hehe, you all will probably be begging me to quit posting pics

Take care!

Hey Carole,
Very nice collection of short-tails and bloods. I love the little one (runt), he does look like a borneo, and then again, I can see perhaps a red head black blood too. It's hard to say for sure from here. At any rate, work with the little guy, and get it going 'cause I think that the one is going to be a smoking animal. All the best to you Carole. Hugs!!

Angel!!

Man, how's it been?!?! How's Vicky doing??

Yeah, I was pretty excited about the little runts pattern..don't really see washed-out sides like that too often. Guess we'll see what happens, eh?

Hope everything is going just right for you Angel! Take care!

Lookin good there Carole. Nice to see the whole collection there. I figured you had atleast been saving up some pics for us. No pictures of the mortal wound? We could all go for a little gore now and then Good luck with your little guy... he actually looks like a red to me.. but who knows.

Hey there Jordan,

lol, sorry, I wasn't able to get any pics of the bloody conflict She really didn't cause any tissue damage, just lots of blood! hehe, it was really, really tempting to run upstairs screaming...could have scared the **** out of my roommate

I'm pretty sure the runt is a blood too. Ha, not like seeing a blood mislabeled as a borneo is uncommon! For $60, I figured it wasn't too bad of a deal. Guess we'll see!

They all look great, Carole! I do have to say, though, that Big Red and Rockstar are looking exceptional. Thanks for the pickies and good luck with the busy schedule.

Face bite huh? Very heavy metal! Be careful.

Big Red looks great - he never was a bathtub boy for me, either, so don't worry. Of course, scented bath dots may change his mind.

Delilah is turning GORGEOUS! Can't wait to see her all grown up.

Rock Star...DAMN!

Little runt is cute...looks like a red. Hopefully you can get him/her turned around & rockin' in no time. The way you spoil your critters I won't be surprised if you do.

Hope finals go by FAST!!!!! Hugs back at ya, girlie-girl!

Awesome collection. Rockstar is one of the best Borneos I have seen. That head is screaming. Nice new pick-up, it looks like a red blood to me. Glad to hear things are going good. Boo for finals and yeah for winter break!
