Trimeresurus trigonocephalus husbandry

Roland_E Dec 01, 2004 02:38 AM

Hi folks,

I have some basic question about Trim. trig. husbandry. As I know there is kind of a low land and montane form, but what are your experiences with this species regarding temperature, humidity, feeding regime, inducing mating, feeding juvies etc.
Any answer is appriciated!

Thanks in advance
Roland

They seem to be pretty much like the rest of the arboreal Trimeresurus. I kept a few in plastic gallon jars. Plenty of air holes, damp paper towel on the bottom, a couple of branches, temps around 75-85F, sprayed them with water about 3 times a week, fed them approp.sized rodents about every 10 days. Once adult, fed them one mouse every 3-4 weeks. Pretty basic really.
Best...
Jim
