My sons male German Giant is very lifeless, he ate well last night after a warm water soaking. He looks half asleep, and little to no activity. Could he be sick or going into a Winter mode?

Sounds like burmation. As long as he's eating and pooping well, then he'll be fine. Although if it is burmation, he'll probably starting eating a little less. Hope i helped!

Thanks for the reply, how much will Beardies eat during burmation? Would you say half as much or a third. This is the first winter that my son has had his Beardies and we are learning alot. He has four, 1 male and 3 females, they were all doing great until the male began to look lethargic.
during brumation bearded dragons eat little to nothing. In fact if he did eat a large meal the day before, and now is lathargic I would be concerned he hasn't digested it yet. Make sure his basking temps are correct. If he remains lathargic and stops eating, spending all his time sleeping, it could be brumation. If there is any noticeable weight loss (be a good ideal to weigh him now if he hasn't been weighed recently) then take him to a vet for parasite check (bring fresh poop sample if possible as well).

Thanks for the info, my wife decided to take him to the vet. The vet said he's pretty sick, she is doing a blood test at this time. and the vet want's to see the other 3 lizards. They are on the way there now. So hopefully we'll know what's going on this afternoon and will be on the road to recovery. Let's hope so, my son would be a sad guy if something happened to his only male.
