My new girl Lucy the Leucistic!

Altimaes300 Dec 01, 2004 11:33 AM

Just got her in today! Isn't she gorgeous! She is 3.5 months and already 15"! She came from a good friend who obtained her from the Dragons Den line of Leucistics. Anyone got any males? or hets? Anyway, Just thought I would hop on here and brag on my new baby!

I have a Male leucistic and 2 66% het females. All are between 2 and 4 months old. I will be breeding them next year.

Here's my male:

Mines nails are a mile long, but they aren't clear? They have the black stripe going down them. Did you get yours from Dragons Den?

Jeff, I hate to tell you this but I noticed the nails aren't clear as well. At best your Lucy is a het for leucistic. More than likely just a hypo/snow..... Who did you get her off of? Cause ytou got burned my friend. Marketed leucistics will have clear nails unless they are heterozygous.

I got the Leucistic from Bruce at Sunshine dragons. I traded him 3 of my best reds for the leucistic and a het for leucistic female. The guy I got them from is very honest and legit and I don't know why he would trade if it wasn't a pure leucistic. Anyway, I'll ask him about it.

I checked out your photos and regardless of who you got it from it is not leucistic. Bummer.

You got burnt!!!

This same guy kinda burnt me too!!!

Back in August/September he had a bunch of snows he was trying to get rid of. I was interested in buying one. I talked to him every week for about a month. He seemed very honest, and trust worthy. He told me he wanted to give me a good quality snow and he didn't feel comfortable choosing one because they were in shed and they had a yellow tint to them. I was going to make a trip to Penn. to pick one up. We came to an agreement the trip wasn't necessary, because he was going to be at a reptile show in Baltimore. He said he was going to hold a dragon for me and I could pick it up at the show.

So, I drive to Baltimore the day of the show to pick up my snow and when I find his booth and introduce myself he tells me he sold all his snow dragons.

I was so mad. I had talked to this guy every week for about a month and he knew I was coming that day to get a snow.

Jeff, I think you may have got a snow from that clutch.

I'm not trying to bash Bruce of Sunshine Dragon's. I Don't believe it's right to mislead people and take advantage of people.

I just want to follow up with this message. I had good reason to assume that it came from dragons den. I want to be sure to clarify that it came from a show.
