.. That trait (for caudal striping) popped up early in the project in a couple of animals that had good color and pattern traits. We ended up keeping and breeding some of them. Now it seems to be resident in the group, and somewhat dominant. It pops up in some litters where the parents do not exhibit it.

But it is not a route to a striped-Hog, I've not seen it get more pronounced, even if both parents have a strong tail stripe.
