hibernation

Hi frilly owners! Anybody really know what the native climate in Papua New Guinea is like? All I read and see is very lush tropics. The Aussies habitat I can believe is more wooded grassland, with seasons. Im asking because most frills are from New guinea and I plan on hibernating my lizard. But if they hail from lush tropics why would they hibernate? And how cold can I get him. Its gettin cold enough in my house already! Id hate to turn off all the heat on him. Thanks alot everyone!

well you can turn the spot lights off. let the cage drop to 70-80 degrees. also reduce the photoperiod(day length) from 16 to 12 of just shorten the day length a good bit. stop spraying the cage and just let the water evaporate.countinue this for 6 to 8 weekes.

i got this from the Bearded dragon manual which has a frillie chapter.
