Finally! Waxworms!

CollardGuy Dec 01, 2004 02:46 PM

I just got 250 of them. I am planning on beefing Chico up with them and breeding them. Does anybody else breed waxworms? Any hints? I am planning on breeding a few adults in an Ice cream container (1 gallon) with a screen lid, honey-bran mix for food, and crumpled wax paper for coccoons and egg laying.

but when they reached moth stage most of my lizards loved them in that stage, the collareds go crazy catching them, and my adults emerald swifts did too!

They are good eating, they all enjoyed the worms also.!

Did they die off or something?

Someone who thinks he's leading but has nobody following him is really just taking a walk.

to long, and I just could not keep them long enough, they got scoffed up to fast, its like making apple pie, takes time to make a delcious one, and if ya have a husband like mine it is gone in a few hours. LOL

Like that scenerio?

My lizards liked them alot, but I never yielded super large numbers of them. For the amount of lizards I have it was not worth it. I but them occasionally for an extra treat!

Its great for a few lizards! Go for it!
