You don't need any type of permit from the state of NC.
You DO need a permit from the Feds though if you buy the snake from someone outside of your state. If you find a breeder within the state, no permit will be needed.

You're in luck, as there are at least two, maybe three, individuals who breed D. couperi in NC.
You may wish to check with Don Bordner, one of the nicest people I have ever had the privilege of knowing, as I know he will be placing a pair together, if he hasn’t already done so.
If you would like, forward me your contact info and I will be happy to pass your information along to him.
For a list of breeders nationwide, go to Doug Taylor’s site at www.indigosnakes.com and have a peek at the breeders listing.

Good luck,

Jeff

from a breeder. I have one that I bought last year from a breeder near my area. His name is Rick Sladick and he lives in Mount Olive. I can provide you with a phone number and address if you're interested.

A NC. resident,
Zee
