About 5 seems good.
Just five why u say that i have 3 in my 20 gallon tank and was going to get 4 but i didn't.and a 50 or 60 gallon tank is pretty big they would have room galore with just five. But if you have a better reason please tell.
i have a twenty gallon tank that I was comfortably fitting 5 full grown fbt in. I'm not sure how many in a 50-60 but just remember to change the water more often because they can poison themselves.
poison themselves? like from thier own toxin? i think you mean ammonia biuldup in the water and any frog or taod has that problem.
usually they say around three for a 10 gallonm, so i would say ten should be safe in a 50 gal. with a filter they should be just fine, thats a lot of water for them to sour, granted it wont be the full 60 gal but still it will be a lot of water.
do plan frequent water changes though
on a side note i put some feeder guppies in my 10 gal w/ my 2 toads and i kinda expected them to make the water dirtier, but actually they seem to clean the place up. they eat a cricket legs that fell off or some shed that the toad missed, plus they have a great time chasing them

I have gotten 3 of them fish and my toads were funny as heck. Tryin to eat them and jumpin around. So your sayin that since i would have more water i wouldn't have to change it more often, i change about 60% of mine every two days and a full change every week. I would of course get a filter since there is more water and it's better for them to have cleaner water. Also it took almost a week fro my three frogs to catch them. I luckily saw the one toad catch 2 by accident and he ate one, and the other toad went for the other one and he got mad and like jmped at him. It was awesome.
