Are his eyelids stuck shut with discharge? If so you have an eye infection going on and you will need a vet to examine the eyes and prescribe an antibiotic to treat them. If there is no discharge (he's keeping his eyes shut voluntarily) he may be severely dehydrated or sick with a systemic infection that again may need a vet. First, give him a lot more water so he is encouraged to clean his eyes himself. That's what he was trying to do on your hand. Put him in a luke warm shower (on a plant with the spray hitting the wall and bouncing off it onto the plant). Spray his cage foliage often with hot (the spray will cool) water so he can drink all he needs to and clean his eyes. Check over your husbandry...cage humidity, lighting type and brands, gutloading, supplements, etc. to see if there are problems you may not have been aware of. Hope this helps!
